52824WA – Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pathway – Trades)
This qualification provides pathways to the primary trades in the construction industry with the exception of plumbing. The core and elective units form part of many Certificate III qualifications and may provide credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.

Course Information
The Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pre-Apprenticeship) provides a pathway into the Carpentry & Joinery Trade while also giving you the skills and knowledge to apply basic Carpentry and Joinery Techniques.
This includes OHS in the construction industry, using carpentry tools and equipment, concreting to simple forms, calculations and measurements.
Duration
The Pre-Apprenticeship course is a full time course (5 days per week) and is run over 8 weeks. Work placement is also required during the course

This program are funded by the Department of Training and Workforce Development through ‘Jobs and Skills WA’
Until December 31 2021 this course comes under the Lower Fees, Local Skills Initiative.
This means course fees have been cut in half!
