“Designed with WA’s leading civil construction employers, the Infrastructure  Ready program will get you job ready to work on a range of civil construction projects. With the State Government’s $27.1 billion

investment in infrastructure projects over the next four years, the jobs are waiting for you! Many large projects are underway across Perth and regional areas; including METRONET and road projects and building, upgrading and maintaining schools and community facilities, and this program will get you job ready to be part of this exciting work.”

“Through this program, you’ll complete the Infrastructure Ready skill set — with a combination of training at a registered training organisation, and four days of work placement with an industry employer where you’ll gain hands on work experience.

You’ll learn about working safely on construction sites, carrying out measurements and calculations, how to prepare and organise construction work, and how to operate small plant and equipment used in construction projects. The program also focuses on safe work practices, and includes your white card.”

Course Cost

The Infrastructure Ready program is free for the following eligible* students

  • Persons aged 15 – 24 years* at the time of enrolment (excluding school students)
  • Secondary school-aged persons who are not enrolled at school
  • Persons receiving the JobSeeker or JobKeeper payment
  • Persons and dependents of persons receiving the Youth Allowance, AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY
  • Persons and dependents of persons holding:
    o A pensioner concession card or Health Care Card; or
    o A repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
  • Persons and dependents of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution.


Upon completion of the course you will receive;
