RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces
This course is designed for candidates who require the necessary knowledge and skills to Enter and work in confined spaces. This is a Nationally Accredited Training course which is recognised in all industries. You will learn about legislative requirements, tagging and lock-out procedures, entry permit requirements, using atmospheric monitoring devices and applying safe handling methods.

To be eligible you must;
- Be employed in an eligible construction industry for at least 6 months
- Eligible construction industries are defined in the CTF Eligibility Guide
- Complete and return the CTF Eligibility Form
Completion
Upon completion of the course you will receive;
- Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course participants will:
- Have an understanding of the OSH legislation and Australian Standards relating to Entering and working in confined spaces
- Knowledge of the Work requirements and processes required to work in confined spaces
- Have the ability to identify hazards and implement the correct controls
- Be able to undertake confined space operations safely
- Have an understanding of:
- Isolation requirements
- Ventilation requirements
- Gas Testing
- Rescue plans
- Communication requirements
- Associated equipment and it’s use/limitations
