Course Overview
CPC20112 – Certificate II in Construction
This course is offered as a Traineeship. It provides an occupational outcome and a range of support tasks applicable to a majority of construction work sites. This course includes learning about safe work practices, how to use construction equipment and tools and also how to effectively communicate with others.
You will also learn skills that will enable you to read plans, take measurements, concrete surfaces, prepare surfaces, prepare for various construction stages and organise your work. The training is carried out under general guidance and supervision.
Course Duration and Information
Duration:
Depending on the traineeship chosen, the duration can vary. The duration of a full-time Traineeship is 12 months. And, a part-time or School Based Traineeship can be completed over 18-24 months.

The core and elective units form part of many Certificate III qualifications and may provide credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.
